Description
The Trapmate Kiwi+ is an all-in-one device designed for monitoring animal traps that are remotely placed. The system offers two different methods for detecting whether a trap is occupied which can be used individually or in tandem.
- The reed switch — a magnetic sensor — utilizes a physical connection to the trap door that pulls a magnet away from the Kiwi+ when the door closes, providing virtually 100% accuracy about trap status.
- The adjustable accelerometer, which senses animal vibrations, offers another method of detecting animal activity. All trap alerts, trap settings and device status information is routed to the Skyhawk CE app, where you can control the device along with other Trapmate devices you have installed.
The Kiwi+ is battery-powered, using three (3) AA Energizer-type batteries to provide three to five years of operation per set of batteries. Batteries are easily replaceable. The Kiwi+ features an ruggedized case designed to protect the Kiwi+ from harsh conditions.
The Kiwi ships with a protective sleeve and a pull magnet kit to provide multiple methods for activating the reed switch.
